After a rainy start the weather cleared enough for Sports Day to go ahead as planned on Saturday 25th May. Everyone had a wonderful time and the children showed enthusiasm and team spirit. The parent's races were as competitive as ever and fortunately the fallers sustained no life-threatening injuries. As expected the staff race was cancelled yet again this year due to a surprising long list of ailments afflicting the teaching staff.

A draw was held to raffle off the excellent prizes donated by Linda and Jason McNiven. Football shirts signed by Chelsea, Man City and Southampton and even an England one signed by Michael Owen were among the prizes on offer. The draw raised a staggering £1260. Many thanks to Linda and Jason for the prizes and also to all those who purchased tickets and badgered family and friends to buy so many too.
